A helping hand around the corner

What would you do with a grassy vacant lot along 181st Avenue? At one point it was farmland. Then it was home to traveling carnivals who would pitch their tents. All of this was until they planned to transform the vacant lot into a construction site; over the summer they then built a building that would turn into a hub for residents in and around the poverty-stricken Rockwood Neighborhood.

Successful Finish for Donation Drive

The freshman class would like to give a big thank you to all those who donated to their sock and underwear drive for My Father’s House, a family homeless shelter in Gresham. They were able to collect 85 pairs of socks and 61 pairs of underwear, in addition to $85.71 in cash. It is so great to see how so many people opened their hearts to give to those ...
